This is nothing new for some. I’ve attended a wedding in which the bride’s parents were older, unable to travel long flights, or get a visa to make it in time for the wedding. Thankfully our digital era allows for live streaming and image quality is way better now than several years ago.

If you’re wondering how to pull off your wedding during the COVID-19 social distancing months , here are five tips for you.

1.    Rescheduling may or may not be an option. As long as you don’t mind postponing your wedding, you will get exactly what you wanted all along. Having all this extra time to plan will give you extra time to get those details right.

2.    Choose a social media platform and get married live for all your friends to see. Now you don’t have to cut anyone off of your list. Win, win!

3.    Have your photographer/videographer do a live stream of your small event. Let’s face it, a professional will do a better job at filming.

4.    Celebrate later with the following ideas:

- Rent a limo or just cruise around the neighborhoods where your friends live and give them a wave.

- Plan to have your reception for your first year anniversary.

5.    Here’s one you might like. Theknot.com offers an app called the guest app. You choose your event date, send the app invite to all your guests and have them dress up and be part of your ceremony from home.

All pictures and videos they take during the time set will upload in the app for everyone to see. You can even make an album afterwards. This way, everyone feels like they are a part of the celebration. (Note: I’m endorsing this app because I used it for my wedding and love the candid shots. I’m not receiving compensation from the company)

Do you have creative ways to pull this off? Let’s hear from you. Please make your suggestions in the comments below.
